Overnight: Onboard in Aswan
An early start awaits one of Egypt’s most iconic experiences. Before dawn, depart by air-conditioned vehicle for the Abu Simbel Temples (optional but highly recommended). After a scenic desert drive, arrive at the colossal rock temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Marvel at the gigantic statues guarding the entrance and learn about the incredible relocation of the temples to save them from flooding after the construction of the High Dam. Enjoy ample time to explore and photograph this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Return to the cruise ship by late morning or early afternoon and enjoy lunch on board as the ship begins sailing north.

Overnight: Onboard near Edfu
After breakfast, travel by horse-drawn carriage or vehicle to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Explore its massive pylons, hypostyle halls, and sacred sanctuary while learning about ancient rituals and the mythological battle between Horus and Seth.
Return to the cruise and enjoy lunch on board as the ship sails toward Luxor, passing through Esna Lock. Spend the afternoon relaxing on deck, enjoying onboard entertainment, or simply admiring the lush riverbanks and villages along the Nile.
